What is that "resort" fee in your hotel bill?
Submitted by Wanderlust AndiIf you have traveled for any length of time, you have most likely run across "resort" fees. These are the $4-$60 DAILY fees that are tacked onto your hotel bill. And, they are mandatory - whether you use their "resort" facilities or not. To add insult to injury, these fees don't even count towards your hotel points.
These resort fees are often very deceptive. You might find what you think is a great price at a hotel, only to find that, towards the end of the booking process (in fine print), you will be charged with this fee.
In fact, these fees are so deceptive that both the FTC and a class action lawsuit are going after these hidden hotel fees.
So - do your diligence, and find - and avoid - these hidden resort fees.
