If you love the idea of visiting Paris, you may not need to leave the United States to get a taste of all that it has to offer. If you visit Asheville, North Carolina you will find that it boasts many of the same characteristics that you would find in the infamous city in France. Beautiful scenery, great restaurants, historical locations, amazing shopping, and live music, just to name a few, make this small area nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountain range the Paris of the South and is certainly worth a visit.

I enjoyed Asheville many years ago, and did go to the stunning Biltmore Estate last year. Asheville is definitely a town I want to go back to so I can enjoy many of the fine suggestions in this article.
