The effect of reviews on hotel conversion rates and pricing

A first of its kind study shows a strong link between hotel reviews and consumer behavior. The results of the study conducted by Trust You show that hotels who manage their online reputation get more bookings and can get consumers to pay more for higher rated rooms. A vast majority (76%) of travelers are willing to pay higher prices for a hotel that has good online reviews.

So, fellow travellers - turn in those reviews through Trip Advisor, Priceline and others. We actually do have the power to ensure that the good hotels continue to be good - and to encourage the bad hotels to change their ways.
