Honeymoon hotel perks - without springing for the honeymoon suite

If you are on your honeymoon, but don't want to spring for the "honeymoon suite", you might still be able to pick up some perks based on your honeymoon status. Just tell the hotels and restaurants, and you may be surprised. Various hotels and restaurants could provide you with "honeymoon monuments", such as complimentary champagne, a room upgrade or rose petals on your bed.

Some hotels are beginning to experiment with keyless entry into hotel rooms. The hotels outfit their doors with special technology so that guests can use smart phones to open the doors. There are some issues with this, however. The biggest problems that have cropped up so far are convenience issues and issues involving guest security.

Save your life while traveling on the road with travel accessories that are fairly cheap (under $10):
