Things that go bump in the night - in your hotel room
Submitted by Wanderlust AndiThe Grove Park Inn, located in Asheville, North Carolina, has an infamous inhabitant, the Pink Lady. The Pink Lady is said to be the essence of travel. However, she is not a normal traveler. In fact, she doesn't travel at all, for she's a ghost. Popular and historic hotels tend to live up to the idea of a ghostly inhabitant for the sake of authenticity. This method seems to be effective, for guests will even request to stay in such haunted hotels.

$50 just to store your OWN items in minibar is a restocking fee??
Submitted by Wanderlust Andi Yikes! You could be charged $50 for just putting your cream in the minibar at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. They call it a "restocking" fee. Bottom line: don't touch that minibar, for fear of a huge, bottom line surprise on your hotel bill!
