Traveling solo? Enjoy it!
Submitted by Wanderlust Andi
Does the thought of traveling alone scare you? The best ways to overcome the anxiety of traveling solo is by putting yourself out there. Whether at a hotel or restaurant, smile, be friendly, and be open to conversation.
Get out of your hotel room
Kick the take-out and delivery habit and force yourself to eat out instead of in your hotel room. At the restaurant, sit at the counter or bar - you would be surprised at the people you can meet - many of them trying to find people to talk to, just like you. Just don't give away personal information, like where you are staying.
Address your fears - then enjoy!
If you fear the possible dangers of traveling - address your concerns. Always have your safety first, make arrangements in advance, know your route, and don't travel at night if possible. Plus, stay in your hotel at night unless you are with others.
Be independent - traveling solo can be a rewarding experience!
