Who is looking back at you as you stare across the ocean?

If you could look way beyond that ocean you are staring at, what would you see? Well:

  • if you are in San Francisco, you would see Japan
  • if you are in Vancouver, you would see Russia
  • if you are in Boston, you would see Spain
  • if you are in DC, you would see Portugal
  • if you are in Miami, you would see the Western Sahara

It is something to ponder. You might be just one person on that beach - but, we can all feel connected to the world when we realize the nations that lie beyond that deep blue sea.

Should you rent an electric car?

The idea of renting an electric car may sound like an excellent way of being a little kinder to the planet. This might be a viable option for business trips. But, vacations usually involve longer road trips, which may raise the risk of ending up on the side of the road. Electric cars are said to require charging before 100 miles of travel, and service stations equipped with the hardware necessary to charge the car are far too few.

Waze is a traffic software that warns drivers about potholes, construction zones, congestion and unsafe weather conditions. A function on Waze that also warns drivers of nearby police officers has been stirring up controversy. Police fear this function could aid in attacks on them as well as assist criminals in committing crimes.
