If you wish to a take a selfie with the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. be forewarned: your task is daunting. It is quite easy to take a beautiful picture of the monument from afar, say from across the reflecting pool at the national mall. Unfortunately, once you get up close and personal, you begin to realize just how large the monument is, and how impossible it will be to take a selfie with the entire monument in the picture.
