Extended Stay Canada, Toronto/Vaughan, Ontario
Submitted by Wanderlust AndiA hotel where life is suite!
This is a great hotel. The hotel rooms are suites, complete with a separate bedroom with a TV; a larger bath (with a whirlpool tub); and a living area with a kitchenette (with granite counters!), a larger desk/table, a fold-out couch and another TV. So, the rooms are very easy to work and live in.
It is great to have a kitchenette - even if you only use it to make coffee (or cocktails). You realize how much you miss a real counter – as opposed to trying to make things on top of a small microwave which is on top of the fridge.
Breakfast - and supper - and popcorn - are free
There is a free breakfast, complete with sausage and eggs (on weekdays) plus the usual continental breakfast items. Plus – a real bonus – you have suppers on weekdays!
These suppers usually consisted of a salad with salad dressing, a roll or a bun, and a protein item such as stuffed cabbage, chicken pot pies, hamburgers, or soup. So, it was quite sufficient for supper – thereby saving you at least $10+ in the evening. So – be sure to throw this savings into your price calculations.
And - in the evenings - a real treat: popcorn. Popcorn just makes you happy: it smells great, and it is a fun treat.
Location
If want to see Toronto, you will need to drive about 30 minutes through heavy traffic. And, although it is on the bus line – it's about a 30 minute bus ride to the subway, then another 30 minute subway ride.
However, just five minutes north is a huge variety of shopping areas, restaurants, grocery stores, and theaters. Plus, "Canada's Wonderland", an amusement/theme park, is also in Vaughn.
So – this hotel is definitely a winner – it is one of the best hotels I've been in.
Highly Recommended!
