Locations to observe the fall foliage are highlighted, along with recommendations for weekend getaway and enjoying nature warming up at the fire pit. The author suggests adding pumpkin to favorite dishes and sampling seasonal craft microbrews to get a taste of the essential flavors of fall.

These are great ideas - especially the ghost hunting! If you can't go to some of the recommended haunted cities, you can always take a day trip to a nearby haunted location.

If you are near Escanaba, MI - be sure to stop by for a visit to Peninsula Point Lighthouse. It is a beautiful, scenic place for a picnic or a short hike. And, if you are there in September, you just might see some Monarch butterflies.
