How to be safe when using Uber and Lyft

With new ride sharing options taking up more of the market, safety in these services becomes a key concern. There have been stories of people being picked up by someone who was not the designated driver. So, to help keep you save while using these new and cheaper services: 

  1. don't get in the car before you talk to the driver
  2. ensure that the driver of the car matches the expected name and description, and
  3. be sure the car matches what the expected car description and license.

If one was to get stuck they need basic necessities and amenities to survive until someone arrives with help! The ten items include, water, windshield scrapper, a multi-tool, a LED flashlight, blankets, matches, reflectors, and a small first aid kit.
