Planning on long-term travel? Be prepared!

Submitted by Wanderlust Andi

Are you planning a long-term travel excursion? Be aware that long term trips can add additional tasks, such as::

  • addressing the financial implications
  • getting any needed immunizations
  • obtaining your passport (which can take 4-6 weeks - or big bucks if you need to expedite the process)
  • applying for a visa, if needed
  • making mail and house arrangements
  • plus doing the usual travel arrangements, clothing and packing.

So - start as soon as possible so you can ensure that your trip is the best ever!

It would be nice to learn about the places the locals appreciate and so few tourists really get to see.
