For the celebration of World Oceans Day, Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel near Key West, Florida, will feature an underwater guestroom. The featured room, which is accessed via an underwater elevator, offers an amazing view of the ocean combined with the usual hotel amenities, such as a shower, air-conditioning, a king-size bed, and room service.
The hotel is accepting applications from environmentally-focused celebrities, and will offer accommodations in the room to the first 100. Proceeds will go to a fund-raiser for coral reefs restoration.

Submitted by Wanderlust AndiThe Grove Park Inn, located in Asheville, North Carolina, has an infamous inhabitant, the Pink Lady. The Pink Lady is said to be the essence of travel. Popular and historic hotels tend to live up to the idea of a ghostly inhabitant for the sake of authenticity. This method seems to be effective, for guests will even request to stay in such haunted hotels.
