Don't use your mobile to book your hotel reservations? You are not alone.

Submitted by Wanderlust Andi

When booking hotel reservations, most Americans still use their laptop or desktop computer to book hotel reservations. According to a recent study, 8% of reservations were booked with a handheld mobile device. Americans still make hotel reservations offline 43% of time. There are many possibilities to explain these findings. For example, some people might prefer booking with a live person or being able to compare places and prices using multiple windows or tabs on a computer.

I am not surprised. A hotel is a major cost, and I want to see as much data as possible - not just a few huge buttons on a postage-stamp-sized screen. Now - will someone tell the hotel industry to stop with the continual barrage of mobile hotel apps?
